Eazipay logs over 6,000 new Direct Debits for charity

Eazipay Ltd, a leading Direct Debit processing company based in Cambridgeshire, has recorded over 6,000 new Direct Debit payers as part of its annual fundraising efforts for Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal.

For the fourth consecutive year, Eazipay, one of the largest Direct Debit bureaus in the country, donated 6p to Marie Curie Cancer Care for every new Direct Debit that was set up on behalf of its customers from the 1st to 30th April 2014.

A total of 6,091 new Direct Debits were set up raising £365.46 for the charity, a figure that Eazipay has rounded up to £400.00.

The Great Daffodil Appeal is the biggest fundraising event of the year for Marie Curie Cancer Care, which works tirelessly to ensure terminally ill patients receive the best possible care, including the option of being cared for in their own homes.

Eazipay supported the charity through a ‘Big Break’ promotion organised by Bacs, the company behind Direct Debit, which aims to raise money for a number of charities as well as giving bill payers the chance to have their household bills paid for a year to the value of £12,000.

Luisa Grey, Eazipay’s Director, comments, “Marie Curie Cancer Care is a magnificent charity and we’re delighted to be able to continue to support its Great Daffodil Appeal through our association with Bacs.

“We’d like to thank all of our customers who played a key role in promoting this year’s campaign and encouraged their customers to sign up to Direct Debit. Their feedback and support has been fantastic and crucial to the success of our fundraising.”

Eazipay, which is based in Littleport, Cambridge provides regular Direct Debit collection and processing services to thousands of SMEs and corporate organisations in a wide range of market sectors throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

In 2013, the company recorded its best ever year for Direct Debit collections when over £235 million worth of Direct Debits were processed on behalf of its clients.
