Sign our petition and end Late Payments

We need your support, please sign our petition!

The scandal of late payments rages on. Latest figures from Bacs state that UK SMEs are owed over £36.4 billion in overdue payments.

The Prompt Payment Code has been set up to address the issue and encourages best practice between businesses and suppliers.

This alone isn’t enough however. Despite support from the Government it is having little impact on the growing issue of late payments and the effect it’s having on thousands of UK SMEs.

More has to be done and we’re calling on the Government to take more decisive action to end the national scandal of late payments and put an end to this corrosive practice. We’ve created an online petition with HM Government and if we can raise 100,000 signatures the Government has indicated that the issue of late payments will be debated in the House of Commons.

We want to use this opportunity to get the Government to extend the remit and powers of the Prompt Payment Code and enforce investigation into late payment cases.

All we’re asking for is a minute of your time to click here to sign our e-petition. Your support is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping to bring an end to the crippling effect late payments is having on SMEs and our economy.

If you feel as passionately about this subject as we do, then please tell everyone you know about this petition and ask them to show their support by signing.

Many thanks.
